Preparing for General Conference

Think of an event that you were super excited for.  An event that you really had to put a lot of thought into and had to plan for.
What is General Conference?  Why is it important?
-General Conference gives us guidance for the next 6 months and the rest of our lifes.
-It is important that we prepare ourselves for General Conference because the prophet is the only one who can receive revelation for all the children of Earth.  Also, who knows what will be said at Conference?! It could be something amazing and life changing like when they changed the age limit for missionaries.
-General Conference is important because much of what the Lord reveals to His prophets is meant to prevent sorrow for his children.  I think we all could appreciate less sorrow in our lives.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets .
What are we going to do about General Conference approaching? How are we going to prepare?
-Environment- Make your home a reverent home while watching Conference   Sometimes the only way to have a reverent environment is to get dressed and come to the church.
You can always pray to our Heavenly Father and ask to have reverence in your home and in your life.
Here are some activities from the churches website that are quiet and might help little ones be quiet as well.

Good luck Sisters in your preparation for Conference.  I know that if we prepare ourselves we can be more in tune with the Lord to receive our own personal revelation.
